As a noun - a feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.

As a verb - to be especially proud of a particular quality or skill.

I define pride.... watching my children reach above and beyond their comfort levels and shine.
I define pride.... standing next to my very shy special needs daughter, in front of a crowd, (with her headphones on because you know...the noise) and clearly tell the crowd what her jobs are in the community and why she likes
I define pride.... in the appreciation and participation of countless hours and dedication of this group to promoting pride and success of special needs people.
